Politics, Philosophy, Property: Part 1
This should be fun.
This should work in iTunes. (The link http://danielbmarkham.com/podcast/rss is a podcast feed) If it doesn't work, here's a direct link to the mp3:
I was going through some things in my office to throw out and came across a dozen or so cassette tapes that I thought you might like. They're created by a company called "Knowledge Products", and the idea at the time (late 80s?) was to provide an easy introduction to complex economic, political, and philosophical ideas for the average person. They have a professional narrator (usually a famous actor of the time), sound effects, and plenty of extras doing voices for all of the famous people we'll meet on our journey.
I can't be sure, but I think these were the tapes that started in me a love of philosophy and learning complex things that weren't computer programming. If you like these topics, you should like these tapes. They also make a great link to send to somebody who's interested in learning but doesn't know where to get started.
(Note: I googled these guys and couldn't find the tapes for sale online, although admittedly I didn't spend a huge amount of time researching it. If you're aware of any sort of active copyright activity by whatever company bought out this one, please let me know and I'll take appropriate action)
This is part 1 of a 4-part series on property. I'll run the other three parts each week on Monday. Enjoy!
