Why architecture oriented programming matters

The essay he's responding to, "Why Functiona Programing Matters"
"...I'd venture to say that we need a lot more different kinds of glue, and we need our kinds of glue to be extensible, to be user-defined..." Yikes! Another person wrong on the internet! That's eight, I think. Pure function composition is an effort to minimize code complexity that actually works, as opposed to leaky abstractions, and mutable, heavily-coupled structured code. He's not completely wrong. He just doens't understand what the hell he's talking about, going on about generic OO goodness instead of the point of the essay he mentions. Every type of coding construct is not the same.
